There was a design like that on this Gundam RPG board I was on some years back. Was a Rig Ring stripped down almost ot a frame, and loaded with clear funnels where the armor should be. I used Minato specifically because he knew how to fight against Sekai. In the semifinals match, he knew how to take out him out, and limit his special moves. Minato didn't lose to the plot armor of Sekai, he lost because the protags had to win so they made him lose to Yuuma. If it's just a fight between the two of them then Minato wins because he knows how to exploit Sekai's weaknesses.

The only reason some characters can use MAGIC PARTICLES while all the rest can't (like Team Free and Team Dragonar) is because the writers just made it up as they went along.

There's actually no consistent in-universe explanation for why Sei and Sekai could do what they did while others were just piloting generic non-magic mobile suits.

Meanwhile the gimmick with the Build Burning is that it has an Arista in it, so it generates so many Plavsky Particles that it can basically bend the rules. Sei probably didn't intend for it to be so bullshit since he put the Arista in as a symbol of his friendship with Reiji, but then Sekai got his hands on it and started using it to beat up on kid so.

Incidentally, according to the manuals the blue bits on the Build Burning are in fact supposed to collect plavsky particles. It's like the red bits all over the SBS, only even more of it. The thing is effectively in permanent RG mode, which gives it such precise mobility that if the pilot is skilled enough, they can basically make it do anything they want. In fact the entire point of the BB was that it was only really limited by the user's imagination, it was a basic enough suit that any given skilled pilot could use it for whatever they want.

Now how Sekai, a complete novice, managed to perfectly control something tuned even further than the SBS (which REIJI had trouble with at first)? Because he's a fucking awful character, that's why.

Build Strike Full Package was Sei tuning up the Build Strike as much as he could the standard way, and Reiji could handle the thing perfectly on his first ever battle with it. More seriously, China says in that scene that Sei was shocked to see somebody using the Build Burning, but figured "oh what the hell, I guess I /did/ leave it for anyone to pick up" and decided to support the new guy. I doubt he wanted Sekai to start abusing the Arista like he does, but the whole thing is out of his hands now.

This is the right line of thinking.

Objectively, the only way to defeat him is to be more PROTAGONIST than him. Minato was able to defeat Jegan How're You because Tryon 3 was extremely PROTAGONIST, and he was able to beat him in the SD battle because his PROTAGONIST power was actually supported by his skill, while Sekai was lacking in his win button.

Simon came close but his PROTAGONIST power was not able to compensate for his Destiny being a snap-build. So this means you need something of the right balance, since you can't have too shoddy a Gunpla and you need to have a PROTAGONIST power equal to or greater than Sekai's.

So /m/, do you have the right amount of Gunpla building skill and PROTAGONIST power to be able to defeat Sekai "fairly?" Or do you go down the darker path, and have it be your Destiny to take over as PROTAGONIST?

A Gunpla's capabilities are determined by how it's been built and tuned: if you build an excellent Gunpla and don't compromise on anything, it'll run like a dream. Like when Yuuma and the Meijin swapped Gunpla for a fight and Yuuma was enlightened. Tuning it up beyond that requires skill and planning to make up for it, like how Kankaansyrjä's Crossbone chewed through particles or the Build Strike series' need for an insanely good pilot.
