Why does sometimes the RX-78-2 have a white V-Fin while other times it's yellow?

>other times it's yellow
It's never, ever been yellow.
>>13753457
sure its not just that custom and others like it? or maybe youre getting rx78 confused with the alex or mk2?
>>13753465
There's actually a scene in 0079 where it's yellow

>>13753477
Sure, and the camera's red. Just an animation error.

Leading into another question, is this artist mistake the reason why most V-Fins today are yellow?
Personally, it looks better yellow.
Origin manga design has a yellow v fin.

In Yas's watercolor pages in Origin it's always yellow until the upgrade. The original tv design is supposed to be white outside of animation errors though.
The origin design is the only version that it's consistantly yellow.

There's a scene in 0079 where its red and there's a scene in 0079 where it's not colored.
Animation errors are not canon

Then why does the GFF Metal Composite RX-78-2 The Origin Ver. come with an alternate Yellow V-Fin?
Because most V-Fins are yellow and sometimes people forget that this one isn't
>>13755392
Because it's the Origin ver. Read the thread.
>>13755405
Why did they become yellow?
>>13756732
semen/hotgluing/japanese artists like to pee on their animations sometimes, take your pick.

Likely because a dark v-fin would have looked like crap. It wasn't on any of the MSV or MS-X Gundams.
Zeta created a lot of the long running standards for MS design since it was the first all new work created with the proper intention of what they were doing, besides the OVA RX-78s white v-fins and yellow eyes basically went extinct until Turn A. (it's interesting to note that only Strike, Freedom, and Strike Freedom have yellow eyes in SEED, by the way)
