The motif of Dairanger comes from Chinese mythology as does its themes: A common eastern philosophy of good and evil is that evil cannot be defeated. It just keeps coming back. It must be fought against forever.

It's kind of like the First Evil from Buffy the Vampire slayer. The Gorma, the specific form evil was taking didn't matter. Dairanger were fighting the very concept of evil. As all sentai do.

To elaborate, they actually made it quite obvious in Magiranger. They WANTED you to know who he was. Once they revealed it halfway into the show, they progressed the plot and don't dwell on it.

On the other hand, KR Wizard had a clumsily obvious TWEEST many anons could already see by the first 10 episodes or so. However, the writers were still trying to bank on the TWEEST by revealing it towards the very end as if it would blow your mind or something.
