Episode 11 of Macross was originally aired in an unfinished state. Canon-wise, she doesn't show up ever again. Flashback 2012 shows a single scene of her being on the Megaroad commanded by Hayase (and which Hikaru is also on) that carries the first generation of space immigrants out into the galaxy. Officially, Earth loses contact with them after they reach their destination and nobody knows what happened to them.

It's like Amuro and Char's fate at the end of CCA, officially they're listed as missing but they are effectively dead and never appear again.
