I don't think they're really going for the manga suit. That one had the white gloves/boots look too. I guess the structure of the chest does resemble the manga's a bit more than the live action, but that's it, and it doesn't really match either. Its antenna also are different from the manga's while just last year we got Rider 3 with the manga insect antenna style.

The belt also seems to be plainly completely new.

8 have my doubts, but that is a novel idea at least. 1 is the color classically associated with grasshoppers (green), 3 is the more blue-ish green grasshopper, and 4 is your brown grasshopper. Provided they get a good shade of red, that would be nice. This would also explain why they are hiding the #2 suit which must exist I am sure. He'll be the bigger surprise:

There is obviously going to be a #2. He is the only one out of the 4 left. I wouldn't be surprised if he is upgraded to #2 in the very same movie since 1 and 2 are basically twinsies at this point.

Upgrading the Legendary 7 would be a way to go, but I doubt they could fit all that in a year. That is something I can see spanned out until the 50th anniversary, though. Great Leader as "Shocker Rider #0" seems plausible too. If that happens I hope he looks like a parasitic montrosity stright out of the 80s/90s.

What I predict this year though is that following the SHT, Kamen Rider #1 will get his own Gaiden after all these years. Fujioka will probably just voice over the suit but that is interesting on its own. Maybe then #2 will get his suit if he really is not getting one in SHT2016.

Not really. Both this one and the one from The Next are modernizations of the Sakurajima suit from the original series, but outside of that they don't really share anything.

Chest armor is different. The boots and gloves are armored now. The undersuit is a leather bodysuit meant to look like armor (like Kabuto's, for example), while The First/The Next just resembled biker jackets and leather pants. The First/Next also had insect-like antennas like in the manga, while here it seems to keep the tv show's mechanical antenna style.
