You get CG, because the studio who wanted to adapt Berserk wanted to do it in CG for one reason or another. You take that, or you get nothing at all.

The CG for the main characters in the Berserk movies looked fine.

Everyone else? Looked like a ps2 game, and a bad ps2 game at that. Not even on par with the actual Berserk ps2 game.
