Getter already does what it needs to do. Each form works in pretty much any type of terrain, but also specializes in a certain type. Space capability is equivalent to aerial capability.

Getter 1 (Balanced)
Specialize: Aerial
Competent: Land, Water
Weak: Underground

Getter 2 (Speed)
Specialize: Ground, Underground
Competent: Aerial
Weak: Water

Getter 3 (Power)
Specialize: Water

Getter machines only work in when combined in numerical order, but can switch the starting point.
Getter 1 = 1 + 2 + 3
Getter 2 = 2 + 3 + 1

Getter always stuck with 3, with one machine for each pilot. Aquarion have 3 vectors, and a whole academy of pilots to interchange with; with the lead vector only piloted by "the chosen one". This also explains why Aquarion have this Attack of the day motif while Getter have this limited moveset (with a special attack here and there).

Fuck, the latest Aquarion Logos played on this buy abandoning the 3 machine rule altogether in favor of complete interchangeability.

New fans of new shows often feel insecure about the new properties they like, but something like Getter is so well established on /m/ that any attempts, if not articulated properly will just give you weird looks, or something to the equivalent of "fuck off spic". And to make matters worse, his use of the word "shit" is completely unconvincing.

Getterfags, very much like Gundamfags already have divides within their communities, so there's not a lot of motivation to give new kids the attention and discussion they're looking for.
