Ok, man.
>>

It basically is just a Leo with a long head and small feet to be honest.
>>
>>13594939
But it can get hit more than one time without exploding.

In fact the Graze is more durable than most grunts.

Why is the Graze's rifle basically useless against everything but Mobile Workers?

le gundams are too strong for your tiny weapons unless it's an important character with plot weapons XD

Look at OP. It's a high heels gundam with an evangelion mock-up head pointing an M16. It's an assault rifle.

So am I the only happy that we havent seen one laser or beam in IBO? I can appreciate the return to bullets, shells, blades, and missiles. Kinda hoping it stays this way.

Gundam was never at any point just ballistic weaponry, and I don't see much of a thematic difference.

>>
>>13595192
>Snapfit yet again being retarded
>>
>>13595248
yeah those are great, i can see weapons like that actually having an on MS armour.
A katana not so much
i mean even knights stopped using swords for the most part because they were no good for piercing armour, and if they did use them they were fuckhuge slabs of metal used to bludgeon really
ill give the katana a chance, but if i see that thing slice through thick ms armour like butter then im out
>>
>>13595282
Considering that so far all we've seen it do it stab into the gap between armor plates I'm fine with it. It is has some kind of heat/vibration function for working as a slashing weapon I'm ok with it as long as it doesn't outright slice a mech in two.
>>
>>13595282
>ill give the katana a chance, but if i see that thing slice through thick ms armour like butter then im out

Whats the point of a katana if it can't work like a katana?
>>
>>13595306
If it works on the MS frames and weapons, but not the armor plating and therefore requires precision. Then it's ok.
>>
>>13594920

>>
>>13595388

>>
>>13595282
Nipnong curved swords are actually fairly appropriate as solid melee weapons go for mobile suits. Katanas are close quarters back up weapons designed to be used from horseback, so the qualities of being light, easy to carry, somewhat disposable, and good for slashing attacks while on the move carry over to a fast moving giant robot with a rifle as its primary weapon.

>>13595204

Why do people think it looks like a Leo again? The only similarity it has is the yellow camera. It's not even the same shade of green.
>>
>>13595105
Gjallarhorn has like 99% of the MS at mars. They only very rarely come up against another MS, and when they do they have their axes and lances (Which are supposed to be purpose built to penetrate the nano laminated armor of MS and ships) o fall back on as well as typically having superior numbers and newer machines.
>>
>>13595749
>yellow camera
>machinegun with a carry handle
>green paint for ground types
>purple paint for space types

kinda sounds leoish
>>
>>13595787
That's some really superficial comparisons.

The space colours are a pretty obvious and deliberate callback to the Leo though.
>>
>>13595282
>even knights stopped using swords for the most part because they were no good for piercing armour

A bit incorrect here. Knights carried swords, this never stopped. But the sword was a side arm, not your primary weapon on the battlefield. Things like spears, maces, and similar weapons were their primary weapons. The sword was something to fall back on if their main weapon was lost as well as something that could be carried around off the battlefield for protection.

And while they sucked at piercing armor, you would have to be real fucked in the head to be trying in the first place. They would aim for gaps in the armor like at the armpit to try and incapacitate a full armored enemy knight if all they had was a sword, or failing that try to knock them down so they could stab them while they were on the ground.
>>
>>13595007
Is that a Fafner?
>>
>>13595484
Katana are heavier than you're thinking. They are not "light".
>>
>>13595804
You are making a lot of assumptions about what I'm comparing to.
>>
>>13595885
I actually take more issue with your line about them being an appropriate weapon for MS and then describe how they're made for slashing. Slashing with a solid edge is a horrible method for penetrating armor. Even at giant robot size.
>>
>>13595787
>>13595787
>gets destroyed every time it shows up to the fight

they really are similar

>>13595898
I kind of forgot to qualify it with that part and that it relies on the assumption that cutting armoured vehicles with solid blades is viable at all somehow.

Brute force penetration is just a suicidally terrible idea at space velocities.
>>
>>13595708
I remember yesterday pretty clearly.
>>
>>13595898
We do see in this last scene that Mika thrusts through a gap in the armor rather than slashing through so they might play fair with armor.
>>
>>13595388
Wait what the fuck are you even trying to say, they use completely different runners and are completely different sizes. Fuck, you cant even say this as an insult since the fed gunpla sold well, The geno ace in particular is one of the most well engineered kits to ever be produced.

Go sodomize yourself with a freedom you ponce

They can't pay that much attention to every fight, you fucking know there's going to be a scene where he zooms past a Graze and cuts it in half.
and you autists are going to make a big fucking deal about it
>>
It's really weird how /m/ will fight to the death to explain how you shouldn't think about giant robots being useless and impractical because they're cool but can't stand the same reasoning applied to a sword.
>>
>>13596801
My problem is that while the RX-78 is supposed to be a giant samurai, the Barbatos is clearly based on a knight
>>
>>13596802
It's a fanservice show knight with midriff baring armor, those can do whatever they want
>>
>>13596789
If it cuts through a joint I'd be okay with that.
