fucking hell man. Sometimes exposition is a good thing, but not when you dump the entire mechanics without leaving room for the viewer to fill the pieces in.

Look at how nen was introduced and explained in hxh. The main characters, since the first couple of episodes were always aware of certain people being freakishly strong and having a strange quality about them. And when they did finally learn what it was, they were only told the essentials and left the rest to be figured out by the viewer and themselves.

You need a mysterious aspect in your show to keep things interesting. And introduce the mechanics as the show goes on. Have the mechanics work since the first episode but keep the viewers ignorant from them. The first gundam did this, and zz expanded upon with newtypes. If you just dump everything in the first episode there's nothing to look forward to.
