I don't really mind Nagano taking ideas from L-Gaim and turning them into FSS, hell, he came up with pretty much all of them in the first place and many of them (like the Fatimas) got rejected from L-Gaim. It was just him taking something that he created and removing it from the demands of a toy corporation like Bandai and their restrictions. I have to applaud him for that to a certain extent.

I do agree with you about the Gothicmades though, but so do most people here.

I don't get why people harp on so much about originality on /m/. Even disregarding the saying "nothing new under the sun", most /m/ stuff was inspired by a liking for western SF. And that's not even taking into account that manga and anime itself was inspired by western animation. Plus Star Wars has come up in this thread, and that also was heavily based on stuff the creator liked, drawing on old serials and closely emulating aerial combat from older war movies.
