Any fiction with aesthetics of decay and filth? Think rust, rotten wood, dust, creepy crawlies and so on. No poo-poo pee-pee please.
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep is right up your alley.
So is maybe Ballard's work? Drowned World?

The library didn't have the Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, but maybe I can transfer it from another library.
Drowned World seems right up my alley too.
Thanks a lot!

I don't know- maybe Isherwood's Berlin Stories\ Goodbye to Berlin. Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer is 'organic' in that way. The first thing to come to mind was the E. A. Poe of tales like The Fall of the House of Usher.

Nature is entirely weighty and gross,
and its primary means of communion are
not syllogisms or mantras, but physical
phenomena like mud, infection and rot.
