What are your opinions on this man's work? I first learned about him through Delillo but I doubt that their writing is similar, I've read that he uses more magical realism and florid writing. He has a new one coming out but I'm more interested in his older more known stuff. Which should I start with?

Read the Prophet's Hair, it's a short story. It's a good intro to his style of magical realism with Islamic influences. If you like that go for Midnight's Children
