Anybody read this one? Almost finished and find myself disdaining most of the characters. Also seems fairly well written, but isn't really about anything at all.

The author seemingly romanticizes what is in my mind absolute degenerate behavior throughout the book. It's mostly about bored soldiers chasing tail.
