Is there a way I can upload my flash fiction online where the content I post remains completely mine against theft or appropriation?

Looking to release it periodically in kind of a blog type format but treated, I guess, like SoundCloud for lit?

Sites like tumblr basically own your content in the small print and I imagine most, if not all, websites of their ilk are like this, so is it a case of making my own web page or does anyone know of a way of doing it to built a readership?
