Are there writers writing about moving to governing forms closer to a direct democracy?
Technically speaking, moving towards the individual, through constant connectivity and mobile computing power, gaining more control over decisions in his country/city/neighborhood/working place.
I am interested in the theoretical backbone of such ideas. How are decisions to be divided into political or technical?
for example, a city building a new neighborhood in x spot can be considered both a technical question and a political question.
How does a more direct democracy decide on responsibility circles since not everyone wants or can make decisions about every minute thing happening in his country/society.
Would appreciate books or academics that have examined or are examining such questions.
