This isn't the theoretical perspective you've asked for but I find DeLillo soporific at best and "theoretical perspectives" of terrorism just as silly and mundane.
Read the Dabiq in lieu of any theoretical works. It's a lucid look into the philosophy of Jihadists straight from the horses mouth. It is genuinely eerie and I struggle to understand how the West struggles with the question of Islam every day.
