>be philosopher
>sit down and spend hours thinking about the most important questions about humanity
>spend years writing down hundreds of pages to explain those thoughts
>can't spend 5 minutes thinking of a name for masterpiece, instead calling it "On [Topic]"

They're intended for academics
Imagine if you wanted to look up an algebra textbook but the fuckhead author thought it needed to be called "daisies in the breeze" instead of "algebra"
Because if I want to look for a book about ontology, I want it to have fucking ontology in the title instead of "Vagaries of Human Existence"
"Humpty Dumpty Exploded Killing Dozens" instead of "On Relativity" hmm I wonder.... really makes you think don't it

"I couldn't reduce it to the freshman level. That means we really don't understand it."
-Richard Feynman
Jargon can be avoided or explained in the developing stages of a book/paper. Plenty of academics sell the practical applications of their field's breaking developments but philosophers won't do this because they have little interest in money and improving people's lives. Also, the secret club contract precludes plebeian explanation so as to prevent revolutionary arousal among the lesser minds, e.g. telling everyone about free will and causing the collapse of civilization.
Since I'm unscrupulous I plan on selling philosophy's secrets after I find the juiciest.
