What's the best reading position? What do you think

Best is lying down on one side.

Sitting down (preferably with back support: think of sitting with your back to a tree).

Knees up, book resting on knees (or on a bookstand which rests on your knees).

I sit cross-legged in my recliner, and i have a piece of wood which rests between my knees and acts as a makeshift desk so I don't have to hold the book up with my hands.

I can usually sit and read for hours; for me its way comfier than lying down or sitting at a desk and reading.

Since I was a kid, I've always laid in bed propped up against the back to read (used to read for hours before bed). that's always the comfiest for me. Want a recliner that I can sit in too, one with a footrest that pops out.

I get pressure building up in my head if I lie like that for too long, not sure how you can tolerate it.

I do something similar. I lie face down on my bed such that my head is over the edge. I put my book on the floor under my head and read like that.

I sit in my armchair with my pipe and a glass of scotch and have a servant read aloud. Saves me getting ink on my gloves.

Bought them for a gag in high school. Didn't really work like I wanted them to and the prisms gave me a headache
