Hi /lit/

I really want to be a writer but I don't seem to find many things that "move" me that much when reading. I enjoyed We Need To Talk About Kevin, Stoner, Siddhartha, The Exorcist, Lolita, most Harlan Ellison stories, and Darkness at Noon.

In other words, I'm an entry level pleb who doesn't have the reading comprehension to understand anything beyond that level. What else do you guys think would "move" me, or that I'd enjoy?
