Anyone else have a bad book buying addiction? I purchase books way faster than I can read them.
pic not related
I go through phases of buying more than I can read, and then reading more than I buy. It evens out.
As far as non-related pic, it's cheap bait, so why bother posting it in the first place?
not now cuz i don't have money
but when i was an intern and was getting paid well and didn't have to help out in my house, i'd pretty much spend my money on books and food
so i guess that when you have more responsibilities (financially speaking), you end up not buying much

tsundoku, desu
Not really. I read and buy books way too slowly for it to be a problem in either direction.

Cheap bait? I assume this pic is not received well here I guess, I just thought it was colorful and aesthetic so I saved it in my comfy folder. I'm not a /lit/izen.

The Barnes and Noble Leatherbound Classics (especially large collections of them) are generally looked down on in /lit/ because they are gaudy and tacky, and those that are in translation frequently use poor translations. That picture is frequently used as bait.
FWIW, I myself have a bunch of them (most of them gifts from various friends and houseguests), and they're not *all* crap, but they are also not great.
Yes, but only when I can get them for cheap. Majority of the time, I only pay 50 cents to 5 bucks on books, which adds up because I end up with way more than I can read. Sometimes I pay for books that I don't even wanna read anymore by the time I clear my backlog enough to be available for it

At university, when my student loan kicked in, I would head into Waterstones and pick up 20-30 books and leave, struggling to carry them all because books are fucking heavy.

Why do you have a picture of my bookshelf?
No, libraries are for rich people and/or hoarders.
