>>In this respect there is a marked difference between these visionary experiences and ordinary dreams.

>>Most dreams are without color, or else are only partially or feebly colored.

>>>Professor Calvin Hall, who has collected records of many thousands of dreams, tells us that about two-thirds of all dreams are in black and white.

>>>Only one dream in three is colored, or has some color in it. A few people dream entirely in color, a few never experience color in their dreams; the majority sometimes dream in color, but more often do not.

Really? Do any of you only ever have dreams that are in black and white?

I don't think I've ever heard of anyone whose dreams are solely monochromatic.

I can't for the life of me think of a single dream I've ever had that wasn't in color, Are Hall/Huxley just full of shit? I think they are.

yeah i dropped the book when he said that all dreams are colorless. what kind of dreams was this nigger having?
>>
Huxley's eyes were notoriously shit, also my dreams' colors are noticeably weaker, which reminds me on Hume distinguishing impression from recollection.
>>
>>9869600
I remember watching a video about how old people dreamt in black and white until color tv came out and then they started dreaming in color.

Come to think of it that sounds completely ridiculous but im sure the video is still up if you want to have a looksee

I don't think he understands how dreams actually work.
>>
>>9869868
Surely impression would have much brighter colors, or was that his point?

>Surely impression would have much brighter colors
That's the point, and how me and Huxley can tell reality from dream, as dreams are not based on "strong" immediate perception
>>
>>9870018
I always feel like my dreams are very brightly colored, so i don't get where he's coming from. Is it a character-thing?
>>
>>9870023
You do sound like noir mystery character.
>>
>>9869877
See, that was a thought that had crossed my mind, but yeah, it doesn't really make much sense.
>>
>>9869600
You don't actually dream in color, you are just imaging the colors in your dream.
>>
>>9870920
Prove it, nerd.
>>
>>9870920

Subtle retardation.
