What is that book series where kids go around hunting monsters and stuff? Each monster dropped a gem or something that they need.
The inside of the front cover has a map of the world and I think where the ground of kids has traveled.
The author is a woman too, if I'm not mistaken. The series had a spin-off series when I dropped reading it when I was a kid.

Enjoy your fond memories of it. It probably isn't as good to you now as it was then, if any significant intellectual development hsa occurred
Deltora quest?

Since I can't find anything about it on google I'm assuming it wasn't that popular even though I've read a half dozen books of this series.

Yup. I just happened to find it right now. Guess I'll spend the next 2-3 weeks of my break reading the whole series.

No, there's literally a Deltora Quest anime too. I have no idea why.

That is, of all western fantasy novels to get popular in Japan, why this one?

I believe you're referring to the manga series Steven Universe.

Don't respond to posts like that, it's one of those plebs who uses shallow labels like "genre fiction" to dismiss things he's uneducated about and feel better about his lack of knowledge.
