I have a week off from work and I want to dive into this. What is objectively the best translation?

Tolstoy survives translation very well. Just read whatever.

Okay I just bought the penguin version because it was the cheapest. You should know though if I find your statement to be untrue I will put a curse on you.

Just buy the one with the nicest cover, then girls will think you're smart

Maude

Isn't that the version with really small text?
I would either go for Briggs translation, or the updated Maude translation Oxfords classics used.

At Barnes and noble you can get the book for $5 if you buy the specific B&N version.
I actually think the translation matters and that you should read the Oxford World's Classics Maude.

The Briggs one? That's a fine translation. People say it's for plebs because they translate the french, but those people are pseuds.
