Hey, /lit/, I'm new here. I recently decided to cut out video games from my life and I want to replace it with reading. I deeply enjoy philosophy books and want to indulge in multiple different works not only for enjoyment but also in the hopes that I can become more knowledgeable. However, one of the problems I have when I read is that my mind drifts. Too often I'll read and a song will be stuck in my head and it'll take me out of the novel. Or I'll think about something else I could do. Basically, it's difficult to focus, is there any way to remedy this or will reading more make this easier?
Thanks, also any recommended books? I want to read pic related.

yup
Had the same problem as you and honestly it's just a thing of reading more and trying your hardest to focus on what you're reading, your brain will eventually get used to not being bombarded with information and you'll be able to understand it.
If you want to get into philosophy check this:

That's an awesome resource, thank you. I've read many philosophical works at University (Philosophy Major). However, I wanted to expand my horizons more and gain a broader understanding of more philosophical concepts. Thank you!
