I made a thread on here a day ago asking for people's favorite or most informative sections of the Bible and I had some good responses so I think I will make another.
Since yesterday I have read Samuel, Kings, Judges, Ecclesiastes. I have been jumping around and finding so much action and fun. Oh gosh when Saul and David... I nearly died. I havent even started reading the New Testament.
Just to reiterate, I have recently converted to catholicism and reading over the Bible for fun and so I can, sort of, catch up. Just to iterate as well though, I am not becoming a theologist, I am just looking for some good stories that might have some significance to life or really anything interesting
I am reading the Douay–Rheims Bible translation. I was also concerned because there is so many different apocryphal books and I am never certain which ones to look into and which ones not. Or maybe I should read them all? I really have no idea. Or maybe what I just said makes no sense to more seasoned veterans of such things?

I wouldn't recommend Douey-Rgeims, it's a translation of the latin translation of the bible. May as well get a direct translation. The stories about Saul and David are my favourites too, best part of the Bible imo.
About canon, here's a handy chart.
