People like Arno Schmidt and myself don't read and write to become patricians. We read and write because we ARE patricians. We enjoy the experience of reading and writing for its own sake, not for external rewards or improving our self-esteems. Our goal is not to impress pseuds on /lit/, it is merely do what we already do as well as we possibly can
