How much do you think writers read?
They are always photographed behind large bookcases, do you think they have read all those books?

yea
Somtimes. I know its common for many writers to have "modes" where they produce more than they read and vice versa.

Depends. If they have talent dropped from the heavens, then, no, they don't read a lot. Otherwise, yes, they read a metric fuck ton.

I've got three extended Billy bookcases full and I'm not a writer or in any kind mentaly gifted. 2-3 medium books a month make a full shelf a year, make a whole bookcase in 7 years - all that while barely even reading.
Guess most people start with real books at 12yo, which would fill five extended ones till their late fourties, which is regularly the age where writers get senpai.
Some just get photographed in the library.

>tfw barely having a decent bookcase because i've pirated most books on my Kindle
But i would have never read so much if i have to pay for them, so it's fine

>tfw you'd have a pretty nice library if you didn't give all of your books away

I actually found the bookcases on a german Craigslist-Copy for free and they are ridiculously fancy. All books are used, I rarely pay mor than 5€/book+shipping and of course book markets where it's even cheaper, so I know that poorfag feel.
