He was just bee-ing himself. What did you expect of someone who wrote books about the bleak sterility of life?
I find his collected letters quite charming, but if you're looking for some kind of revelation (and surely it is at hand?), look elsewhere. He simply doesn't discuss his works, period. The most you'll get are some extra stage instructions and why it's important that the pants drop at the end of Godot.
