Here's the real consensus:
lift your gaze up from your phone and/or the 17 year old korean whose tits you're staring at and you'll notice that tons of people read on the subway and it's fine

Having to wait for/on the bus is boring and using that time to read has been pretty great for me. Anyone who wants to hate is a pleb so I don't care.
