You know what we need? That is, writers here on /lit/? You know what we need? We need an inside man. We need somebody who posts here who also works at an editorial position at a major magazine, and who can therefore get /lit/'s talented writers snuck into publication and integrated into mainstream literature. We need somebody who will be to /lit/'s writers what Pound was to Joyce, Eliot, and Hemingway.

New Yorker isn't progressive by any means, it's pretty staunchly WASP shite.

It's interesting. /v/ has posters who are involved in major companies there, /co/ has animators and artists working for mahjor companies, even /a/ has people involved in major localisation distributors. Yet /lit/? We have a lower age range than most boards these days and barely even stay on topic, let alone attract professionals.

However we used to have a poster who was a manuscript proof reader at some New york publisher who had some solid posts. I imagine theyre long gone.
