just bought infinite jest, what am I getting myself into? should I go about reading it in a certain way or what? I hear so much shit about but I wanna do it right.
You need to read it out loud, otherwise I think you'll do fine

highjacking this thread to ask IJ related question;
I got IJ as epub - is it possible to get the "full" reading experience reading it on an ebook?because I heard it got a lot of end-/footnotes?

Nope. You need the book and two book-marks. Otherwise it's going to get really frustrating: some of the footnotes are longer than some chapters.

>I wanna do it right.
its a book, anon. you open it and read the words.

>but I wanna do it right.
don't read it and just place it on your bookshelf and pretend you did like the rest of /lit/

Just don't ignore the footnotes and you'll be fine.

epubs let you move instantly between the footnote and its corresponding spot in the text, so if anything it's less frustrating than two bookmarks
