That's actually not true contrary to pupular belief. There is no passage in the Bible that explicitly implies human will is free and many which imply determinism

Free will is the most stupid thing there is. The only reason it's worth keeping is so simpletons like OP incapable of critical pragmatic thought don't draw the wrong conclusions about the non-existence of free will.

Wouldn't god knowing everything that will happen in the future imply that the future is predetermined?

I wish there was an exposé from the writers of the Bible/Torah/Quran. I would love to know their intentions for creating the stories they did.

What notion of free will do you care about? What do you want your will to be free from?

No. But it was all just stories passed down through spoken word, anyways.

They would probably say they were moved by the holy spirit
With a drive to record that which they found most beneficial to furthering their cause
Assuming that mind=brain and that the brain is simply matter and energy, saying that the matter and energy that makes up your brain is what's making decisions is the same as saying that you are what's making decisions. So unless you subscribe to the notion that free will means free from causality (which is dumb), then yes, you do have free will.
Free will is not the sacralised concept you get from religion. You are an amalgamation of recorded reactions (instincts) and thought out decision (personal decision).
Now the all concept of free will is paradoxical. Whether you think it exists or not you, in your human referential and experience, cannot not believe you have free will. It would be like denying the Descartes' cogito ergo sum.
Free will is a chimera because believing in it or not would lead to the same consequences.
