What are some good novels that incorporate science into their stories? I'm looking for something that does it similarly to the Zero Escape series, the Infinity series and Steins;Gate. The only novel I can really think of that does this is Gravity's Rainbow. Please don't bully me for liking VNs
what would JC read?

JC doesn't read, he just has people talk to him about what they've read and then they let him decide what sounds the most reasonable

Einstein's Dreams, by Alan Lightman

he's not big into books
I wish there was like a genre or something that encompassed what you're looking for because I would be way into it. We should make it a thing. We could call it "science-fiction" or something. What do you think?

The Man Who Was Friday
Greg Egan might be what you're looking for. His short story Axiomatic collection is a pretty good place to start. "Closer" is probably my favorite.

Hard Science-fiction is probably closer to what OP is looking for.

A lot of people here may not agree with me, but I really liked the Mars trilogy. Over the span of 3 books you get to see the progression of science and technology over about 200 years. And it does a pretty good job of actually keeping the ideas within the realm of possibility. Only con is they can be a slow read because of the amount of detail that Robinson puts into it.

"Hmm, I'm starting to think this Hegel guy was onto something."
