how do people come up with minute details? I have to google all these things to make sure I sound like I know what I'm talking about
Pringles taste fucking awful.

>finish three sentences
Stop googling for things, just write.
Plot in more detail first, include stuff that's just there in the scenery in the notes and it'll help when you just flesh it out

The paragraph likely still sucks, spend another hour on it. Then repeat this process several thousand times and maybe you'll be a writer one day.

Write what you know, keep it confined. Try to segment parts of your story. It's not an encyclopedia, there should be a broader narrative that is internally coherent, and if what happens within that narrative isn't wholly factual that doesn't really matter. That's partly why books like Infinite Jest and GR are so highly considered, they're very broad in scope yet intricately detailed. Welcome to writing kiddodo

A good general knowledge of what you're writing about will allow you to know what questions to ask when you get stuck. I also do a lot of preliminary research before I even start writing, though this approach tends to result in procrastination by research until I lose interest and begin a new project. When I power through, though, it is well worth the effort.
