I want to write for edgelords, I need some books and movies for inspiration.
Also what clichés do I need to avoid, and how do I make it more clever as other edgy works?
Anyone have recommendations how to make it smarter but still edgy?

Nick Land, Louis Ferdinand Celine, Bataille, Burroughs,
Cliches are good. Every successful novel has a similiar skeleton, just add unique meat. Let your main character be an orphan, let there be a journey, a paranormal sponsor, ect. If you convey those through a gritty and obscure lens, people will dub you a genius.
