So, what's are you reading, anon? I'm reading The Complete Collection of Kafka's short stories, at the moment. Just finished Middlemarch.

Stop that and praise Kek instead.

Yes, yes. All that good /pol/ stuff. So, what are you reading?
>>9731879
Shadilay, brother!
>>9731873
How'd you like Middlemarch?
I'm reading Bros K, Skylark, and a collection of short stories by Hemingway.
I'll probably finish Skylark tonight if I don't end up going out.

I have a four hour boat journey tomorrow so just going to start either Hard To Be a God or Woman in the Dunes.

It was pretty good. It had an abundance of characters and everything connected really well at the end. I'd say it was pretty mild, putting it mildly (excuse the pun).
Ah, I just reread The Old man and the Sea recently. The Brothers K are a personal favourite. How's Skylark?
>>9731918
Sounds like a good time, anon.
>>9731873
More importantly, who's that cutie in your image?
>>9731927
Fanart of Korekiyo Shinguuji from NDV3. Do be prepared that this is, in fact, a male.

I honestly couldn't say about Skylark because apparently the end is the big turning point of the novel and I put it down just before then.
As for the first 2/3 of it, it's quite cozy. Not much happens beyond building up towards what will apparently be an emotionally potent resolution. I don't want to get into the theme because that's really all there is.
The writing is good but up to now it's entirely unambitious.

>this is, in fact, a male.
That just makes it better.

Best boy Korekiyo is appreciated by /lit/.

Ah. interesting. Sounds like a bit of a chore, but at the same time I'm intrigued to try it. Good Prose can usually tide me through a book.
-A book on Noh theater
-King Lear
-Paradise Lost

Feel humbled yet?

In the penal colony is my favorite. What did you think about it? If you haven't got to it skip to it and read it right now I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for your opinion.
