Good: Garnett, McDuff, MacAndrew, Avsey, Coulson, Myers, Ready
Bad: P&V, Megashark
The Idiot is his greatest achievement

i like this most. then notes. havent read brothers. its probably the translation, but i thought c&p, at least the prose, was straight up bad. is there a best translation?

You won't find great prose in Dostoevsky, he was never a genius stylist
>>9731375
I think Notes is one of his best works. Certainly above The Gambler.

What is actually bad about P+V? Without memeing
Demons deserves to be higher

Just read everything P/V first they're the most shilled and readily available. If you wanna reread them then you can try the others, like the Norton Critical one or Ready or McDuff or even Garnett. If you don't wanna reread them, then the translation quality probably didn't matter that much
