>check the YA best seller list
>protagonist or their friend has cancer or some kind of mental illness

Is this the key to profiting these days? Holy fuck
>>
We're all about romanticizing illnesses now. Disrespecting the people that actually suffer from this shit is so fun.

My brother went through leukemia when he was 5 and this thing in particular really gets to him.

Oh, they aren't doing post-apoc shit any more?

why not both?

The religion of pity. Liberals believe that people that suffer are morally superior to people that don't, which is why they love faggots and niggers and romanticize mental illness. Basically, nobody believes in Christ anymore, yet they still like the "redemption though suffering" idea, so they've decided that everybody can be a Christ. If we lived in a society where strength and nobility were valued, depression would not exist.

These YA books in particular are deadly. Think of this: children are being emotionally poisoned from birth, brainwashed into a reverence for pity, a feeling that weakens the sense and destroys the mind.

I'm making some money by just writing what interests me; zombie survival and basically gun porn. Got a zombie trilogy and plan to soon make a sequel to the gun porn novelette. My drama and erotica are doing absolute shit.

>Liberals believe that people that suffer are morally superior to people that don't
that's judaeo-christian values in general, in other words, most of the world to some extent (western influence imposes such things on people who otherwise wouldn't entertain it a few centuries ago -- everyone is culturally western to an extent in the present day). You can't blame them for their heritage.

Also most of what you claim, like
>depression would not exist.
is fucking retarded, you reek of the overly-simplified generalism that plagues normies and philosophers alike. Sectioning the world into nice little (but logically-flawed) boxes, to make your existence and belief easier for you.

Such a disrespect for Sylvia Plath.

One day Mouse Ladystrong woke up to a call from her friend. 'I'm seeing things again, and I have cancer, and the government wont give me any money as I am not a Crossbred like you Mouse" Mouse was shocked by the cruelty of the Dominion government.

It's not like you care short of having the moral high ground.

Considering how common illness is, how tremendous the spiritual change that it brings, how astonishing, when the lights of health go down, the undiscovered countries that are then disclosed, what wastes and deserts of the soul a slight attack of influenza brings to light, what precipices and lawns sprinkled with bright flowers a little rise of temperature reveals, what ancient and obdurate oaks are uprooted in us in the act of sickness, how we go down into the pit of death and feel the waters of annihilation close above our heads and wake thinking to find ourselves in the presence of the angels and the harpers when we have a tooth out and come to the surface in the dentist’s arm chair and confuse his ‘Rinse the mouth—rinse the mouth’ with the greeting of the Deity stooping from the floor of Heaven to welcome us—when we think of this an infinitely more, as we are so frequently forced to think of it, it becomes strange indeed that illness has not taken its place with love, battle, and jealousy among the prime themes of literature.
