>does /lit/ own a library card? or do you buy all your books?
been thinking about getting a library card instead of buying books because it's getting expensive as fuck and I feel like I would actually read the books because I'm on a time limit instead of have unlimited time and not even finishing the book.

Yeah and if you don't finish it just keep renewing it online.
Some libraries even have kindles and shit you can borrow with books on them (for vacation or whatever).
it's a library card dude just get it

Why would you even need to think about getting a library card?

Why wouldn't you have a library card?
>free
>ebooks of most titles
>Megan, the new librarian
It's a win-win situation.

Can confirm. I live in the county of with a major city so the libraries are pretty extensive. You can rent books, e-books, audio, blu-rays, CDs, ect. There's much more media available than people think or care to use. I'm there weekly. Never buy books.

don't go to libraries dude. Find a good used book store. There's info in some of the books I've found at these places that you wouldn't even be able to get close to on the internet, which you really can't say about the selection at a typical library.

how much does a library card cost you?
here in Belgium, it's like 10 euros a year.
also
>get ereader
>never pay for books again
>feel bad for the authors
>burn in hell
They moved my local library from being right next to the police station in the "downtown" area to being one fucking block away from Detroit.
