I've only ever read Fear and Loathing by him, and that was years ago. But I remember thoroughly enjoying it, and really enjoying his writing style.

HST doesn't pretend to be unbiased. Part of the appeal is his disregard for objectivity in order to find truth in other vistas. Fox News on the other hand actively spreads misinformation so hillbillies will continue to vote for their sponsors. They certainly don't care about Truth.
