Is Sally Rooney that new author we were laughing at a few weeks back when some anon posted an excerpt from her book being published? I genuinely don't feel bad she's successful. Her writing is garbage and won't b e remembered for more than a year before some other girl comes along and writes the next blogposting style book.

Having some short stories published in the latter half of this year. I plan to win a couple dozen fiction competitions in the next year, and I'll use the money and publicity from that to work on and publish my first novel. From there on I'll work on improving my writing and doing my best to push language and the novel to higher aesthetic heights.
