I had a dream that I met DFW before he killed himself and I was trying to talk to him so that I could prevent it, but he was really impatient and uninterested with talking to me. I wanted to say something meaningful about his books, but I never read Infinite Jest or anything else. I only watched his water speech, but I couldn't even think to say something about that.

I was trying to remember the date that he killed himself so that I could tell him a few days earlier, "Hey, you're going to kill yourself on this day. I know you're planning to do it, so don't do it." But I never looked up the day he killed himself so I couldn't tell him.

I'm not sure what happened because I woke up. What does it mean?

I had a similar dream about Kurt Cobain, with the exception that he was very very nice with me, almost like a big brother smiling and being sympathetic with me. He was sad, but he perfectly showed he was aware of the problems of adolescence.
