Has anyone seen this? It sounds stupid but I think it would be entertaining to watch. Thoughts on it?

Culture of resentment rears again.
>this kind of violent, hateful rhetoric is not welcome in our country. . .except if it's directed at a white dude and his family then it's all good
Contemporary adaptations of Shakespeare's history plays are ALWAYS shitty. Whether it's the Roman plays or the English plays, they're uniformly trash.

What the fuck is this?
>>9630196
that adaptation of the play must be targeted at retarded people
on the one hand, it depicts Julius Trump as an undemocratic tyrant who's assassinated, so no conservatives will enjoy it
on the other hand, the point the play fucking makes is that assassinating Caesar is wrong, and the assassins are in the wrong, so edgy liberals wont be able to enjoy the adaptation either
there arent even that many close similarities between Trump and Caesar that would justify this play
honestly this whole thing is just pointless edge

French can't stop thinking about USA since WW2, get over it

Much Ado About Nothing by the fire fly guy was actually the best version I've ever seen, honestly.

Ehhhh I'm not so sure about that. To me Shakespeare's ambivalent about the rightness or wrongness of the act. He gives Brutus some really good reasons for doing it, but at the same time he shows a Roman populace that almost NEEDS a strong single ruler like Caesar.

Nah they adapted (changed/butchered) the whole thing. Brutus Sanders is in the right to brutally kill the tyrant Caesar.

And apparently the assassination is taken really seriously, it's not comedic at all. Spooky stuff lads

Much Ado About Nothing is not a history play.
