I read a lot of non fiction. Fiction especially is very difficult for me. Reading very descriptive passages about the setting when it can all be summed up through an illustration seems dull in comparison.

I think Apple's iBooks format that allows for illustrations, animations, gifs, maps, interaction may be helpful for me.

Read the book "Deep Work." There are some suggestions for re-building your focus. Your ability to focus is greatly reduced by infotainment sites, social media, and television.
