How much does it take to you to fill a single page when working on a novel?
With cum or what?

I'm working on short stories now. It takes me more or less an hour and a half for about 1000 words.

Writing novels in this epoch is barbaric

Roughly 340 words
Open up a book and type a good full page into Word. Take a word count. I subtract about five to account for several larger words.

If I've got a good idea of what I want to write, or I'm cranking out some mindless fiction I don't care about for work, about 1k words an hour.
If I'm working on something I care about and I'm just idly enjoying the process for fun without pressure, about half or even a third of that.

>3200-5600 words in an hour
for translations, transliterations, and alterations -- text already there, just have to fix it up in a different language or order.
>2500-4000 words in an hour
for just hitting that flow state on a given topic, after research + research notes are collected -- maybe a week or two into the research, not giving a shit what's exactly happening syntactically.
>1500-3000 words in an hour
for conceptual writing, just running with a pair of scissors/ideas -- a flow state with a certain idea I'm fond of can topped out at ~8000 in an hour (it was like 7936 words with a ton of fucked up errors) for maybe 3h, but then I'm done for a day or two.
>500-2000 words in an hour
for rl srs biz n shit -- accounting, business documents, "minutes," summaries, and soliloquizing.
>0-1000 words in an hour
for lyrics, movie scripts, and research notes -- I'm a fucking slow dolt when it comes to multi-entendre and hiding alternate meanings and inside joke in phoneticss; couldn't Serj Tankien or Otep it for the life of me but I can occasionally touch on a Bill Withers/Johnny Cash/Trent Reznor kind of feel.

>hitting that flow state on a certain topic
Loved doing that on research papers when I was in school. Start going and suddenly it's three hours later and you're practically done on a report that should've taken days to flesh out a first draft.
