So I stopped at my local bookstore and noticed that there was a copy of pic related by the register for 40 bucks. I was pretty shocked to see an actual copy of this (especially so because of how small the store is), I've always assumed its just some obscure /lit/ meme. US it actually worth buying?

I bought this last year when they announced it on Dalkey's site. It's fucking huge and unwieldy. I've had it laying on my desk, open since, and have been slowly consuming it. I'm not understanding all of it, but the bits I'm getting, it's pretty good. Just let it sit somewhere open and make your way towards it here and there. I truly think this is the best way to approach it.

I got the german version and I skimmed through it but I think it's best to just slowly digest it. It also works heavily with german dialects/wordplays etc. and I wonder how that could've been translated without losing the original tone.

i think what bugs me is the extent of the superiority. there are tiers so greatly above women that they will undoubtedly be unable to break through into the realms. i think women genuinely have more physical pain tolerance than men ever will, but men have imfinitely higher mental pain tolerance. it allows them to break through the psyche, spend decades alone and working through sheer will, dedicating all self into a mechanical vice, squeezing art from the depths of the soul into marble, ink, oils.. it's such a shame for women. no wonder there is so much resentment. i could never be content with being born so completely inferior. it would only add to my inferiority as i resisted at length.
