Redpill me on some books i'm thinking about selling /lit/. I don't trust Goodreads and I sure as shit don't trust my friends who still read YA and try to convince me to read their flavor of the month trash.
The Traitor Baru Cormorant - Haven't read it in the year and a half i've had it yet but it's been hyped to hell and back for me, and I think at this point I might be expecting too much of it.
Prince of Thorns - I just want to know if the series gets better because I live for that post-apocalyptic setting, but everything else except the Nuban was so edgy and shit.
Promise of Blood - I can't for the life of me remember what the fuck happened, and I read half the book twice. I just remember this sinking feeling that the few characters I liked were going to be shit on by the narrative, and Industrial magic is a combination of two things I like the least in a fantasy setting. But then again, the characters I liked were what kept me going.
Also I guess this can just be a general thread about these books.
The only one I've ever heard about is Prince of Thorns and supposedly it's Game of Thrones for YA like such a downgrade is even physically possible. But then again OP, all of your book titles sound exactly as edgy as they probably are and you should pick up some Eddison or Peake or even Meme Wolfe instead. Sell them and move on, it's like you're going to reread or take notes or analyze them even if you do finish them

I wanted to give them a chance if anyone knew they were worth it, but I think I'll just keep Baru since apparently it's not edgy shit like the other two. Thanks anon.
