Does anyone here have any advice on memorising verse?
I'm trying to learn by heart the opening soliloquy of Richard III currently.
I have a lot of spare time on my hands

Try to remember lines progressively.
First the first line, then the second line, then the first and the second line together; then the third line, then the first, the second and the third line together, and so forth.
Write it down. Read it aloud. Repeat.

Thanks. That's the method I'd been taking, though it's very long. I suppose there;s no other way.
Read each line, then close your eyes and repeat it

Now is the winter of our discontent
Also try and recite what you've memorized to far randomly throughout the day
