The bits of Yoruban mythology described in Things Fall Apart were pretty interesting. Haven't read anything by Amos Tutuola yet, but his books, also about Yoruban mythology, seem really fun.

Yea, we all understand Egypt is in Africa geographically, but acting like there was a massive flow of knowledge between Northern Africa and the rest of the continent is absurd. There's a reason contemporary North African history is studied alongside Middle Eastern history (also, the MENA region) whereas the rest of Africa is dealt with separately.
