Constance was a woman.
There is no reason to avoid her work in translation, besides a few modern interpretations that are slightly different. I would say compare a few different translations, see which scans best for you, and pick that one. Come back later to make choices on the specific needs fulfilled in translations, you'll need to get into russian lit before you go through that divine suffering.
